Cedar is a modern property built to a high specification and forms part of a small courtyard of luxury barn conversions. It sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms and benefits from off-road parking and WiFi.
Description

Cedar is a beautifully appointed barn-style development that offers up to six guests a Cornish break in stunning surroundings. With uninterrupted views over Cornwall’s green countryside, a private garden and space for two dogs, this property is ideal for guests wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life and experience a break like no other. The exterior of the property, with its semi-circular roof and timber clad walls, is impressive from the very minute guests approach the building – and the light and bright interior doesn’t fail to impress to either.

Stepping inside, guests are greeted with a large hallway. With fresh, neutral walls and light floors, it’s a welcoming entrance after a long day exploring. There is a downstairs WC to the right of the front door, a convenient space for guests to store any sandy shoes. The main living area is positioned at the rear of the property with large French doors providing access to the garden area and those wonderful views of the countryside. Two large sofas and an armchair provide plenty of seating where guests can together and on cooler evenings there is an electric stove to keep guests warm. A TV and DVD player provides entertainment should guests want a quiet night in in front of a movie. This space is also ideal to take a moments peace in the morning, open up the curtains at the doors and windows and enjoying the fresh views of the country while sipping a hot coffee.

Set just behind the lounge area is the large dining table and chairs. The light and bright decor means this is a relaxing area to spend some time enjoying meals, playing games or planning the holiday and with easy access to the outdoor decking and garden, dining alfresco is always a tempting option for guests on warm summer evenings. Here, another large table and chairs enables guests to gather round and enjoy a tasty supper as the sun slowly goes down over the surrounding hills.

The large, modern kitchen is finished to a high standard, with warm wooden cabinets and a crisp granite work top. Equipped with a gas hob, cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer, guests have all they need to take some time cooking for loved ones and with so much amazing local produce on offer, it would be easy to find something for everyone. A washer – dryer and dishwasher are also located within the kitchen so guests have all the home comforts necessary to enjoy a break away.

Cedar has three large bedrooms, two with double beds and one with a set of twin singles that can be fastened together to make a third double bed.

The master bedroom is a beautifully furnished oasis of calm, with soft neutrals and wooden furniture. The large windows open up to reveal elevated views over the beautiful countryside and a peaceful night sleep is guaranteed for guests. A large wardrobe, chest of drawers and twin bed side tables provide plenty of storage space. This room also features a stunning en-suite shower room, with large walk in shower. Decorated to compliment the neutral tones of the house, this room is relaxing and refreshing, an ideal place to enjoy a morning shower. There is also a WC and hand basin.

The second bedroom is also a warm and welcoming room, with crisp white sheets beautifully presented over a pretty iron bed. Twin bedside tables with lamps mean guests can rest here at the end of the day and unwind with their favourite book awaiting the crisp, morning light entering the windows. This room too has a chest of drawers for storage.

The third bedroom is equally as welcoming and relaxing and another excellent size with plenty of space for two single beds should a party require them.

The family bathroom is where guests can head to enjoy a relaxing soak in a hot bath, enjoying some alone time at the end of a busy day. There is also a WC and hand basin and a light up mirror should guests want to fix their make-up before heading out for the evening.

The owner provides a cot, high chair and two stair gates should they be needed, and there is free parking immediately adjacent to the property.

Cedar is located just a couple of miles from Falmouth. A wonderfully quintessential Cornish harbour town, offering an abundance of shops, galleries, restaurants and bars. Steeped in history and home to the national Maritime Museum and Pendennis Point, there’s plenty to keep guests occupied should they want to learn more about their surroundings. Falmouth also provides excellent transport links, with water ferries running frequently to the nearby villages of Flushing and St Mawes and a direct train route to the capital city, Truro.

Should guests wish to stay a little closer to home, a private gate gives access across the golf course to the South West Coast path and the golf club offers discounted green fees for guests of Cedar.

Cedar is truly an excellent property to enjoy a wonderful escape in Cornwall allowing two dogs to accompany guests to the property and enjoy the local walks and countryside, it’s a perfect place to escape and unwind.

Perfect size for 6 people, ideal for family of four with one set of grandparents, for example. Situated in charming courtyard of similar properties, well away from rest of the world. Good kitchen for meal preparation. Peaceful, lovely views, surrounded by green fields and a golf course. Easy to start walks/runs from, and the special key through the private gateway, across golf course, to the coastal path provided an appreciated short cut to the beaches. Great base for exploring Lizard peninsula and for our week, this provided highly localised microclimate weather, differing from rest of country, which meant sunshine for us and pretty much nowhere else! Falmouth and beaches, and their cafes, are all high class, we need at least another week in this place to do them justice.’
