Families are perfectly suited to the versatile and substantial accommodation which graces the three floors of the house, with its bright and airy rooms beautifully balanced by restful interiors conveniently accompanied by all the must-have mod cons.
The charming cobbled entrance of the house leads into an equally welcoming hallway, to make guests feel right at home. A handsome snug offers an ambient room in which to relax and unwind, with the romantic warmth of an open fire to paint a timeless scene for wintertime enjoyment. The leather sofas allow guests to easily cosy up and enjoy a good book, whilst WiFi is also on hand for your convenience.
Original slate flooring to the snug leads effortlessly into a large country-style kitchen, which is illuminated under a spot-lit beamed ceiling and enjoys pretty views of the sunny outside courtyard.
Equipped with all the cooking appliances you will need including dishwasher, waste disposal and full height fridge and freezer. Stylishly finished with solid granite worktops complemented by a dining table for 8, the kitchen offers a heart-of-the-home setting ideal for a family stay.
A small and bright conservatory offers the ideal place in which to dry damp beach towels, whilst the outside courtyard is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed lunch – freshly caught mackerel anyone? As the sun sets adults can also take in quality moments together, with a glass of wine to the raised dining area.
Upstairs a bright and inviting drawing room occupies the full width of the house. From its 3 bay windows guests can easily enjoy direct views of the bobbing boats and passing ferry in Flushing quay. Providing the perfect ambience in which to effortlessly unwind and entertain, the room is ideal for all day enjoyment, with nautical touches including a glass topped map coffee table and coastal oil paintings to serve a befitting splash of seaside serenity to accompany the contemporary sofa’s and flat screen TV.
Glass French doors lead directly out on to a landing whilst a wooden staircase to the corner of the drawing room leads upstairs to a splendid master bedroom. Couples staying here can easily unwind to the tranquil loft-style ambience of the bedroom’s interior, which features a double bed alongside a dressing table, chest of drawers and en-suite bathroom. Beautiful views of Penryn River and Falmouth Bay also provide a tranquil and far reaching back drop in which to languish and revive the senses.
A second equally-spacious double bedroom to the first floor allows for another couple to easily be accommodated, with a pretty cottage-style interior overlooking the delightful courtyard garden. The third bedroom furnished with a set of bunk beds, is also conveniently placed on the first floor across the landing from the family bathroom, which has been fitted with a contemporary bath tub and shower over.
Providing flexible accommodation for elderly guests, the ground floor of Creekle Cottage is further complemented by a spacious fourth bedroom, tastefully furnished with a twin set of single beds, a small flat screen TV and a newly fitted en-suite bathroom.
A baby cot and highchair are provided upon request and a washing machine and tumble dryer are also on hand to support a family stay.
From the timeless location of the holiday retreat, guests are nestled in amongst the charming coastal village life of Flushing; with its pretty quayside overlooking Falmouth Bay complemented by a lively community feel with a host of amenities on the doorstep including a well-stocked shop, two very good pubs, a Bistro restaurant, a children’s play area and a frequent passenger ferry service to Falmouth.
Family beach days can easily be savoured along the picturesque local beach, whilst delightful walks to Mylor Yacht Harbour can also be enjoyed, with a great selection of water sports on offer here to provide the perfect excuse to explore the breathtaking coastal beauty of Cornwall from the water.
