We loved our recent stay at Kenrose Cottage. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well-equipped holiday property! The owners have thought of everything and have furnished the cottage to a very high standard, making it really comfortable and welcoming to return to after a long day out. The weather wasn’t too good while we were there so we made great use of the lovely log burner which made it very cosy. We were there with friends and found the cottage to be a great place to relax and enjoy our time together. It is perfectly situated in the heart of Flushing, with 2 good pubs within a few minutes’ walk. I would highly recommend Kenrose Cottage as an excellent base to explore the beautiful Cornish countryside and coastal area. We will certainly be going back!
We have had many lovely holidays in Flushing and our last two have been staying at delightful Kenrose Cottage.
It has recently been renovated and is beautifully clean with everything we needed.A huge advantage is that we can also take our dog. It is the perfect location for dog walks with pub destinations and a tucked away beach nearby.
There is a gorgeous old fashioned quality to Flushing which makes for a really relaxing break and so perfect to stay in such lovely accommodation.
The thought and care that has been put into the decor and organization of the Green House is exceptional…We have been travelling and staying in Vacation Rentals for almost a year now and the Green House and Flushing Cottage Rentals have been one of our best stays… The cozy feel of the house and the design of the finishings make it feel like a boutique hotel with the ability to create your own 5 star meal. The village was a treat to walk and explore and the people we met were all warm and friendly, we enjoyed our visit and have recommended it to friends who will be visiting the U.K.

This property seemed a perfect retreat in keeping with the coastal setting. Beautifully finished.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in The Green House. The accommodation was lovely, the quality of furnishing and attention to detail were excellent and we enjoyed the welcome – fresh scones for us, and treats for our dog Scrabble. Flushing is a beautiful setting, a quiet waterside village but with two great pubs and a fabulous fish restaurant in The Waterside. I would recommend both this area of Cornwall, and The Green House. Flushing is also well placed, a short drive from Falmouth and Truro, and less than an hour to St Ives. Porth Kidney beach near St Ives was a find – white sands and dog friendly.

We cannot recommend this cottage enough. The location is great with the regular, half hourly Flushing ferry service over to Falmouth (except) Sundays. Parking was not a problem. The cottage itself was tastefully furnished together with some outstanding features such as the low lighting on the landing and the heated bathroom floor. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay was provided, from logs to dishwasher tablets, from Sky+ to a fab Cornish Cream Tea!

A holiday here was a real treat. We have done the Padstow area mostly in the last 25 years but think that this week will change that. Loved St Mawes, all the ferries, Mylor and Flushing, and especially this beautiful cottage. Have done lots of self catering all over the UK but never known such a lovely place with so many thoughtful touches – they know their guests! We loved it and plan to re book as we didn’t have time to do everything.

This is the second year we have stayed in the Green House and we love it even more. Excellent accommodation and the owner Stuart has thought of everything. Top class luxury. Our dog teddy was also welcome. Friendly village and excellent pubs.

We love this house! Everything was perfect. The house and decor are fresh, clean and pleasant. It appeared that the kitchen, baths and bedrooms were fitted out with new furnishings picked out just for the Green House. There is no sense that anything in the house was from the thrift shop or a cast off or broken set from the owner’s home. Some of our past rental houses were so full of the owner’s junk that we felt unwelcome, but that was not the case at the Green House.
We had excellent communication with the owner by email, phone and text.
Flushing is very pleasant with a village ambiance but near to a larger city for shopping and transportation. We enjoyed the Flushing pubs and used the little store for a few things. We used the ferry to Falmouth for shopping and to connect to other transportation.
We flew from the US to Gatwick to Newquay and rented a car which we used to get to and from the airport and for a trip to Porthcurno. Otherwise, the car sat. Next time we will skip the rental car and save the money. It is very easy to get around using the bus, train and ferry.
