Navas Nook

The search for your dream waterside retreat is over! Navas Nook is a picture perfect creekside cottage located in the pretty village of Port Navas. Renovated to a 5 Star standard, it sleeps 6 with parking.
Description

Navas Nook is a luxurious newly renovated 3 bedroom village house just a few steps from the slipway and the Helford River. Providing the perfect retreat for those looking for a relaxed holiday and water sports enthusiasts alike, Navas Nook offers an idyllic setting for families and friends to enjoy in all seasons!

At the front of the cottage is a pretty garden with a table and chairs for morning coffees and sunshine breakfasts. Steps to the elevated terrace located at the rear of the house lead to the ‘Captains Quarters’ The far reaching views from here couldn’t be more picturesque, with bobbing boats on the horizon and the rolling mounds of unspoilt Cornish countryside beyond.

Inside the delightful cottage has been sympathetically modernised to offer immaculately presented accommodation ideal for groups of up to six guests and up to two well behaved dogs. The ground floor is open plan and flows effortlessly from one area to another.

A pretty sitting area features two large sofas from which to snuggle up with the ambient warmth of the wood-burning stove while the dining area has a large wooden table to gather the family around and a window seat from which to watch the activities on the water.

The country-style kitchen is exceedingly well equipped with an easily operated electric Aga, plus other essentials like a dishwasher, microwave and the all-important coffee machine.  Don’t fancy cooking?  The Yacht club is a short stroll away and offers fantastic food and drinks.

Leading off the kitchen is a preparation area with fridge and freezer, a wet room with shower and a utility room with washing machine – ideal after a day on the water!

Upstairs, guests will revel in the peaceful seating area on the landing – the perfect space to relax with a magazine.

Each tastefully furnished bedroom on this floor is decorated in a fresh nautical palette, offering a serene place in which to revive the senses during your stay, with direct views of the creek to 2 of the 3 bedrooms.

The first bedroom with water views has a zip-and-link bed meaning it can be either a super king double or twin beds. The second bedroom also overlooks the river and has a super king zip-and-link. The third bedroom is a peaceful king size bedroom in shades of white and light turquoise.

Also on this floor is a family bathroom with bath, wc and basin.

The back garden, accessed from the first floor, has steps leading up to an elevated terrace from which you are treated to spectacular roof-top views of the creek.  The pretty summer house has two comfy armchairs, to read, relax and watch the comings and goings of life on the water

Navas Nook has WiFi, private parking for one car (you’ll find additional on road spaces in the village) and welcomes a maximum of 2 dogs.

Water sport enthusiasts and sailors can fully embrace their hobbies here, with ample space for a small boat and trailer provided next to the allocated parking space, alongside easy access to the public slipway for launching small boats and canoes. Boat, canoe and SUP hire can all be enjoyed alongside sailing lessons and private yacht charter at the Yacht Club, ensuring water sport fans will be kept more than satisfied!

There is plenty to see and do in this area. The sub-tropical climate allows all sorts of lush plants to flourish at the nearby Trebah and Glendurgan gardens. In Falmouth a few miles away, you’ll find a bustling Maritime town boasting excellent restaurants, shops and Beaches and the Maritime Museum – perfect for any wet weather days.  From here you can also catch the ferry to St Mawes and the wonderful Roseland Peninsula.

For tasty local food, stroll down to the yacht club or head to nearby Trengilly Wartha, an award-winning pub, or indulge yourself with a scrumptious breakfast or lunch at the fascinating Potager café.
