Pendeen is a beautifully refurbished, spacious home in the heart of Flushing village. This stunning coastal property provides a truly magical Cornish escape for up to nine guests. Complete with coastal views, parking for three cars, and dog-friendly, it’s the ideal retreat! With a modern refurbishment and bags of character, this spacious home makes for the perfect retreat for guests wanting a taste of the quintessential Cornish life.

Approaching the grand village house, guests are greeted with large bright and welcoming windows. The front door of the property is a subtle nod to its age and character, and upon entering the spacious traditional entrance hall is warm and inviting. The dark wooden flooring flows through the property and is complemented effortlessly by the bright interior.

To the right of the hall is the main living area. This room has a traditional feel with tones of deep reds and dark wood furniture. There is a stunning open fireplace for guests to gather around on a chilly evening and plenty of space for everyone to relax and curl up in front of the TV.

The reading room is positioned towards the back of the property, where a vaulted ceiling and large floor to ceiling window create a spacious place to gain a few moments of peace. This room makes the most of the wonderful coastal views and guests can sit back and relax on the sofa and watch the sun setting behind the water. The white walls reflect the abundance of light entering the room whilst the wooden flooring maintains a cosy and warm space. The original exterior wall of the property is exposed within this room, adding texture and character.

Adjacent to the second living area is the dining room complete with a large table and wood burning stove. This is an ideal room for guests to gather together, sit down in front of the fire and enjoy some quality time together. On a warmer evening, guests can open up the French doors and enjoy an evening soaking in some fresh, coastal air. The light blue interior of this room is a subtle nod to the coastal location of this property, teamed with an earthy, neutral tone this space is refreshing and modern.

Entering through a further door, guests will find themselves in the ultra-modern kitchen. This room is simply stunning, with two sets of French doors providing access to the veranda. Level flooring between these two areas creates a large consistent space, so guests wanting to enjoy the long summer evenings can do so inside or out. The kitchen is an ultra-modern design and is just the place to cook up something truly fantastic for a memorable night in! Complete with double oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, and large fridge with separate freezer, there is also a laundry cupboard complete with washing machine and tumble dryer for all the home from home comforts.

The outdoor space of this property is wonderful. Set over two layers and with 180-degree views of the river, guests can either enjoy dining alfresco or soaking up the sun on the paved terrace. Leading down from the patio area is a beautiful deck area, complete with sun loungers. An ideal spot to take a break in the midday and relax, with views overlooking the river – there’s no better spot to escape and unwind.

There are four bedrooms situated on the first floor of the house. The spacious master bedroom is positioned at the rear of the property and features two huge windows, framing more of the river views. This room is bright and open, and the soft pink hues create a warm and tranquil space. The king size bed ensures guests will get a comfortable night’s sleep after a day of exploring and there’s plenty of storage for guests to hide away any luggage, with a large built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers. With table lamps either side of the bed, this room is ideal for settling down for the night in front of a book or the TV, or head to bed early and watch the sunset over those wonderful water views. This room also benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Guests could take a moment to relax here under a hot shower and wash away all the sand from a day spent at the beach. The crisp white decor with black slate tiles is super modern and refreshing, making this a really welcome feature to the master bedroom.

The second bedroom is also a good size and takes advantage of a large bay window with river views. Decorated with cool tones of blue and wooden furniture, this room really is a retreat. The bay window allows for loads of light to flood the room, making it awakening and refreshing, and in the evenings a wonderful spot to lay down and enjoy the sounds of the water lapping along the harbour. There is also a large chest of drawers.

The third bedroom is positioned at the front of the property and has a bright but peaceful feel. The large windows, fitted with wooden Roman, blinds allows for plenty of light to enter the room and privacy when needed. This room has wonderful oak furniture, making this space feel warm and modern and maintaining the high-quality finish throughout the property.

The fourth bedroom has twin single beds and is extremely spacious. The chrome beds are a modern take on the classic age and style of the property and the soft blue florals and tones within this room make it quaint and pretty.

Also on the first floor is the large family bathroom. This is another light and bright room, decorated to a high standard and with a subtle nod to the nautical setting of the property. The blue-clad walls and soft yellow paint teamed with the crisp white tiles and bath suite make this room feel refreshing and welcoming. A lovely place to relax at the end of the day in a hot bath before getting ready for the evening. The large window and rainfall shower mean guests will have a wonderful experience when washing away any sand from a day at the beach.

On the second floor of the property, guests will find the fifth bedroom. Created within the roof space, this is a really quirky place to sleep. The pitched ceiling makes a home for two large skylight windows, where more views of the river can be enjoyed. It is kitted out with a single bed and a TV, making it the perfect room for any guests travelling with younger children, either as a playroom or individual bedroom.

Flushing is the picture perfect Cornish postcard setting. With quaint streets lined with characterful fishing cottages, two friendly pubs and an excellent seafood restaurant, guests who are wanting a peaceful and relaxing break can certainly find it here. Toward the other side of Flushing is a well-equipped children’s play park, an excellent space to bring the little ones to burn off some steam. There is also a well-stocked local shop should guests need anything and wonderful views across the bay to Falmouth town. Just a stroll around the streets or down to the waterfront is a tranquil way to spend some quality time with loved ones.

A regular passenger ferry can take you across the water and over to the harbour town of Falmouth, where an array of boutique shops and restaurants await. Guests can explore several art galleries or take time to expand their knowledge of its history at the famous Maritime Museum. It’s easy to explore more of Cornwall from Falmouth, with its excellent transport links to Cornwall’s capital city, Truro via bus, train, ferry or car.
