Piran House

A beautiful Cornish family home by the Helford river with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a heated 15 metre swimming pool, a heated jacuzzi and a home cinema. A well behaved dog is welcome.
Description

Piran House is a stunning modern property, nestled into a hill above the Helford River. With its surrounding countryside providing a truly breath-taking backdrop, this large, modern property is well disguised within its location with its wood cladding exterior. The approach to the property, with lush green palms and foliage, is a really welcoming entrance for guests when they first arrive. Stepping into the property, guests are immediately greeted with a light, bright and modern interior. With German-engineered doors and windows allowing bags of natural light to flood the rooms.

Situated on the first floor of the property, guests will find the spacious kitchen and dining area. With a split level layout, this large space has cleverly been adapted into two areas but maintains the grandeur of this large, open space. The kitchen is light and modern, with bright white units and worktops. The large island area in the middle of the space complete with barstools is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink with friends or loved ones. The light wood frames of the doors and windows are the perfect complement to the neutral tile flooring and white walls, adding texture and warmth to the space.

From the kitchen, guests can access the terrace area, where a ten seat dining table provides the opportunity for dining alfresco on a warm summer evening. With views from here to the pool below, guests can always keep an eye on children swimming. The kitchen also comes complete with a Bauknecht fridge freezer, ice maker and wine fridge, Neff ovens, hob, extractor and microwave and Miele dishwasher to ensure guests have a relaxing break in luxury. Accessed via a short set of steps is the dining area. With wooden furniture and flooring, this is a really cosy space. And with plenty of seating for everyone, it’s the perfect spot to hold memorable meals altogether.

Three individual sets of French doors line one side of this space and provide guests with the stunning countryside views as a backdrop to the dining area. Continuing on through this space, guests will find a cosy living room area, with two large sofas and a super modern rotating log fire. On a cooler evening, guests can easily get comfortable here, relaxing in front of the fire and watching a movie on the large flat screen TV. This space is really welcoming and relaxing, the light blue-clad feature wall is the perfect backdrop behind the wood burner and adds texture and dimension and teamed with the pale blue hues of the soft furnishings, makes for a tranquil and calming space.

Set back from the kitchen area is the large cinema room and is the ideal space to entertain young guests. Here guests will find a large sofa, armchairs and beanbags to kick back on and relax at the end of a day exploring. Positioned perfectly in front of the large HD TV and with surround sound system, guests can really enjoy a cinema experience from the comfort of this home. This room also features table-top football for guests with a slightly more competitive side!

The outside area of this property is a stunning oasis. Accessed via both the kitchen and dining area, this huge space is filled with lush, green foliage and is completely private. The indulgent heated swimming pool (OPEN and heated 2nd May to 26th September ONLY, closed at all other times.) is the main focus of the outdoor space, but guests can always relax with an evening drink in the Jacuzzi. There are a number of sun loungers so all guests can make the most of soaking up the summer sun and admiring the breath-taking country views. In the evening’s guests can retreat to this outside space, tastefully lit by a number of uplights surrounding the pool and house.

On the third floor of this property are the five, large double bedrooms and bathrooms. Each bedroom comes complete with a 6ft Super King bed and three of the rooms have ensuites. Most of the bedrooms are decorated in cool, natural tones, with light wood furniture and floors and neutral walls. There are subtle, nautical hints throughout this property, these are a wonderful, coastal reminder of its stunning location. Each of the bedrooms features a large wardrobe and dresser so there is plenty of storage for guests to hideaway their luggage and truly escape on a breakaway.

The master bedroom comes complete with a beautiful ensuite shower room, with a double walk-in shower and bath. This room is light and spacious and double doors ensure guests will wake up to the wonderful countryside views. The second bedroom has stunning, overhead drop lighting, so guests can cosy up in bed and read a book at the end of the day. This room also features double doors leading onto an elevated terrace, and therefore the morning sun can flood this room, making a bright and refreshing space to start the day. All of the bathrooms are fitted to a really high standard, with elegant suites and complimentary interiors.

Piran House is situated on private Budock Vean Lane and benefits from access rights to the beautiful gardens of the Budock Vean Hotel and golf course, with stunning views and pretty coastal walks. A short twenty-minute stroll will take guests to the waterside Ferry Boat Inn pub, serving excellent food and overlooking the Helford Passage and Helford Village across the water. An ideal lunchtime rendezvous for guests wanting a peaceful lunch.

Kids will love the beautiful Trebah and Glendurgan gardens which are both within walking distance of the property and for guests wanting to explore further, the wonderful harbour town of Falmouth is only a fifteen-minute drive away. Here guests can explore a fabulous array of boutique shops and restaurants, art galleries and stunning local beaches. There’s something for everyone! And with taxi’s providing transport back, there’s no limit to how long it takes to explore.

Piran House is everything and more that guests could want for a Cornish getaway. Providing a luxurious base for some time away, even if exploring isn’t on the agenda, guests will still have a memorable holiday with all it has to offer!
