High Shore

High Shore is a spacious two-bedroom apartment located within the prestigious gated community of Port Pendennis Marina in Falmouth. Boasting stunning surroundings and an abundance of activities right on the doorstep, this apartment promises a holiday to remember.

High Shore is a wonderful, first-floor apartment located in the heart of the marina. Designed by Peter de Savay and modelled on the picture-perfect beauty spot of Port Grimaud near St Tropez, Port Pendennis offers a timeless scene. Pastel painted townhouses huddled around the bobbing boats of the inner yacht basin create an idyllic backdrop.

Entering the apartment, guests are welcomed by a bright and spacious hallway with access to all the rooms. Here, a handy built-in cupboard means guests can store away their sandy shoes before relaxing in the main living space. To the right of the hallway is the open plan living area. Designed to make living easy and comfortable this large, bright space is welcoming and relaxing. White walls are clean and contemporary and two large, leather sofas means sitting down and relaxing is easy. This is a lovely spot to sit and catch up with loved ones or curl up on the sofa in front of a movie on the flat-screen TV. Freestanding lamps are placed within this space, meaning guests can dim the lights in the evening and create a soft and ambient feel, ideal for games together or a spot of quiet reading.

The dining area is adjacent to the living space and the kitchen and is, therefore, an ideal social space to share some delicious food and spend quality time. With a modern wooden table and chairs, there is room for all four guests to gather around discuss the holiday plans. French doors open out to a delightful Juliette balcony and means guests can not only dine with the warm summer sunlight filling the apartment with a golden glow but also the soundtrack of the harbour and nearby boats.

Once guests have been and explored Falmouth’s town centre they can return to the apartment with some of the fresh local produce and cook for loved ones in the modern kitchen. Fitted with all the home comforts, this space provides an ideal setting to whip up something truly delicious for loved ones. Throughout the kitchen, subtle hints of blue and green are cleverly styled as a reminder of the unique location of the property and also provide a cool and calm style. There is an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher so guests won’t have to spend too long cleaning up. That is of course if guests desire to spend a quiet night in, however, with such an array of cafes, restaurants and pubs just a stone’s throw from the apartment, guests may be spoiled for choice on where to sample next!

Both bedrooms are located on the left of the apartment and are delightfully decorated in a similar style. The master bedroom features a generous king-size bed and guests are sure to enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep in the crisp white bed linen. Deep purple tones are added through the soft furnishings, making this room relaxing and warm and the large window with quaint views promises a delightful sight in the mornings. There is ample storage for belongings with a large chest of drawers and twin bedside tables.

Bedroom two features twin single beds, this bedroom is decorated to an equally high standard and comes complete with large built-in cupboards and drawers so guests can hideaway their luggage and truly escape here.

The family bathroom is an excellent size and the fresh, white theme continues into this space. Here, a bath complete with an overhead shower enables guests to relax and unwind however they choose. There is also a WC and hand basin.

The marina complex offers plenty of sights to enjoy, including the communal gardens or if guests are after something slightly more exuberant then there’s even a tennis court on site. Also on sight is secure storage for bikes or surfboards, and a reserved space to park a car and spare spaces for visitors.

With Falmouth town centre right on the doorstep, there’s plenty to see and do. Just take a short stroll to Events Square where the famous oyster festival takes place in October each year. Or head to Rick Stein’s for champagne and oysters. Falmouth has an abundance of boutique shops, art galleries, and restaurants and the famous Maritime Museum.

With one of the deepest natural harbours on the doorstep, Falmouth Harbour, guests can easily take to the water, with a fantastic range of ways to explore the breathtaking surroundings; with private boat hire, canoe rental and sailing lessons and trips. Stand-up paddleboards also provide a fun way to enjoy this area of outstanding natural beauty. Local sea ferries run frequently from the piers within the town centre and provide guests with the prospect of a day out in the surrounding neighbouring villages of Flushing and St Mawes.
