Great walks in the Falmouth area
There is a wealth of walking available nearby the cottages in and around Falmouth. Whether you want to enjoy part of the Cornish Coastal Path, or would like to venture farther afield, you will not be disappointed.
The north coast, which is only a few miles away, offers dramatic coastline and wave-swept, sandy beaches, while the south coast around Falmouth offers sheltered coves and picturesque harbours.

Walk number one – 6 miles in 3 hours
SWANPOOL – TREGENDA – ROSEMERRYN – MAENPORTH – SWANPOOL
Farmland, woodland, an interesting church and an attractive stretch of the coastal path.
Walk number two – 6.5 miles in 3.5 hours
MYLOR BRIDGE – ENYS – FLUSHING – MYLOR BRIDGE
A woodland and farmland walk with a delightful stretch along the Penryn River.

Walk number three – 5 miles in 2.5 hours
MYLOR BRIDGE – HALWYN – RESTRONGUET – MYLOR BRIDGE
Superb creek and river views. A longish stretch along quiet roads but the view makes it worthwhile.
Walk number four – 4 miles in 2.5 hours
STITHIANS CHURCH – TRESKEWIS – TREATHEAGUE – STITHIANS CHURCH
A pleasant walk through farmland then lakeside at Stithians with extensive views across the water.

FLUSHING – MYLOR HARBOUR – FLUSHING
Walk number six – 6 miles in 3 hours
MAWNAN SMITH – MAENPORTH – ROSEMULLION HEAD – MAWNAN SMITH
A lovely walk through pretty farmland and out along the coastal path with some great views.

MAWNAN SMITH – PENPOL – DURGAN – MAWNAN SMITH
A walk through farmland alongside the beautiful Helford River. There is a steep hill which is not for the faint hearted!
Walk number eight – 4.5 miles in 2.5 hours
FALMOUTH TOWN – SWANPOOL – PENDENNIS HEAD – FALMOUTH TOWN
An interesting town walk with a stretch of coast path and some magnificent coastal and harbour views.
Walk number nine – 3.5 miles in 2 hours
TREVONE – GOODAGRANE – MABE CHURCH – TREVONE
A walk off the beaten track through farmland and granite quarry country, with several awkward styles.
Walk number ten – 3.5 miles in 2 hours
CONSTANTINE – POLYWHEVERAL – SCOTTS QUAY – CONSTANTINE
A delightful walk through woods and farmland with one very steep hill. Try to do this walk when the tide is in.
