Laid out over two floors, The Sail Loft is a truly unique property with wonderful original features and a characterful interior. Once entering the apartment, guests are instantly greeted with the large open plan, lounge/diner with exquisite wood flooring and exposed white brickwork. This room has a vaulted ceiling which exposes the original beams of the building – the space is bright and airy, with a really cosy feel. The wooden shutters in the living area are a beautiful addition, and the neutral colour scheme allows all of the original features to be the main focus of the space.
The living area of this large room boasts a comfortable corner sofa and TV, perfect for cooler evenings when guests want to cosy up and watch a quiet movie. The dining area, with large wooden table and six chairs, is space enough for all guests to gather around and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. Behind the table is a set of French doors that open out onto a Juliette balcony, with views over the wharf, creating an amazing backdrop for morning and evening meals spent together when guests aren’t tempted to head out and sample one of the many restaurants in Penryn and Falmouth.
The kitchen is positioned to the rear of this space and complete with neutral cabinets and worktop, is also a light and bright room. There is an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine, for all the necessary home comforts.
There are three bedrooms within the apartment. Bedroom one and two are both located on the ground floor and each features a double bed. Bedroom one is a great size and decorated beautifully with a subtle nautical theme. The blue feature wall behind the bed, teamed with Hessian carpet and rope lamp and mirror, create a calm and relaxing feel. This room is inviting, and a well-deserved space to retire to after a long day exploring Cornwall. The large window that boasts more of those tremendous water views, allows light to fill this room, so it is refreshing and inviting. There is a chest of drawers and a large chest of drawers providing ample space for guests to hideaway any luggage.
Bedroom two is also decorated with neutral tones and the subtle hints of the nautical location of this property are used exquisitely. The exposed brick wall within this room helps to add texture and character. This room also features a large chest of drawers and a freestanding wardrobe.
The bathroom is also located on the ground floor of the apartment and easily accessible to both the bedrooms. Designed to a high standard, featuring a large walk-in shower, the bathroom is super modern and contemporary. Guests could happily relax and enjoy a hot shower before bed or a quick spruce up before heading out for the evening.

A reserved off road parking space is available for the exclusive use of guests at The Sail Loft, and a well-behaved small or medium sized dog is welcome.
The Sail Loft is just a short walk from the centre of Penryn, with a selection of local shops and pubs. Guests can take a thirty-second walk across the road and find themselves at Muddy Beach Cafe on Jubilee Wharf, which serves delicious coffee and cakes and a fabulous tapas meal in the evening.
Just a short drive away is the wonderful harbour town of Falmouth where there is an array of wonderful restaurants, galleries and shops. With one of the deepest natural harbours, Falmouth Harbour, guests can easily take to the water, with a fantastic range of ways to explore the beautiful surroundings, with private boat hire, canoe rental, and sailing lessons and trips. Stand-up paddle boards also provide a fun way to enjoy this area of outstanding natural beauty. There are excellent transport links to Truro and ferries over to the quaint harbour towns of St Mawes and Flushing.
