Description

Challenger Quay is a security gated development, part of the Port Pendennis Marina.

There’s never a dull moment looking out of the window at Challenger Quay. The apartment enjoys  views across Falmouth’s famous harbour, offering plenty of comings and goings to observe. It’s entirely possible that you could close the curtains at night upon the sight of a Royal Navy vessel moored in the harbour, only to open them again in the morning to find a luxury cruise liner in its place!

As part of the secure, gated development in the Port Pendennis Marina, Challenger Quay manages to get you in the heart of Falmouth without sacrificing privacy or peace and quiet to do so. Falmouth may be a highly popular destination for tourists, but only guests and residents have access via the electronic gates to this marvellous development.

The living area is open plan, with a pair of comfortable leather sofas facing a large smart TV, complete with DVD player, equipped with internet connectivity, the television can be used to access online catch-up services as well as live Freeview television, meaning you can catch up on all your favourite programs when you get back from a busy day of exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.

There is a large dining table big enough to seat you all, and a well-equipped kitchen in which you can prepare delicious meals using the wide array of fresh, local produce you can find within your immediate surroundings. There is also a breakfast bar area with seating for three, so you can keep the chef entertained and part of the conversation while they are busy whipping up a treat.

Outside, you have an allocated parking space, as well as an enclosed patio area, complete with seating and tables, making it the ideal place to enjoy a tranquil breakfast or relaxing lunch.

The first bedroom boasts a King size bed, wall mounted flat screen TV, ample storage from the twin bedside tables, chest of drawers, and wardrobe, and an ensuite bathroom complete with WC, basin, shower, and heated towel rail. Each of the three bedrooms is spacious and decorated in light, neutral tones to create the ultimate atmosphere of relaxation and calm.

The second bedroom also features a double bed, and plenty of storage, including wardrobe.

The final bedroom features a double and a single bed, plenty of storage – thanks to the bedside tables, chest of drawers, and generous built-in wardrobe – and a small flat screen television.

The family bathroom comes complete with WC, basin, bath with shower, and a heated towel rail.

Couples and families will find Challenger Quay is the perfect retreat for a Cornish holiday. You can’t get any more waterside without getting your feet wet, you won’t find anywhere more peaceful without being miles and miles away from anything interesting, and you can’t beat the amazing shops and attractions the surrounding area has to offer.

Whether you’re on a romantic break, an adventure holiday, or a family getaway, Falmouth has something to keep everyone happy, regardless of age or interests. The town itself offers a wide range of shops, both quirky independent retailers and large national chains, as well as restaurants, cafes, pubs, bakeries, and takeaways. You will find Falmouth’s Events Square is on your doorstep; home to, among other things, the National Maritime Museum.

You are within walking distance of a number of beautiful beaches and coastal footpaths, so there’s no excuse not stretch your legs and take in some of your amazing surroundings.

And if you feel like venturing further afield, Falmouth is well-connected to allow you to do so. Regular trains will take you to Truro, the capital city of Cornwall, which offers plenty of sights and delights in of itself, as well as easy transport links to the rest of Cornwall. You can spend the day here, or delve deeper into the county thanks to regular buses and trains. If you prefer to travel on the water, regular ferries depart Falmouth to places such as St Mawes and Truro.

Whatever your interest; be it water sports, heritage, cultural, dramatic coastal scenery, beaches, great food, the great outdoors, or just peace and quiet, you’ll find it all in abundance, all year round in Falmouth.

Challenger Quay comes with allocated parking for one car – additional vehicles can be parked on the surrounding streets or in the long stay Dell Car park – a few minutes walk.

Accessibility

Challenger Quay is on the ground floor, the parking space is around 10 steps from the building and is 4.8m long x 2.4m wide.

Testimonials

We had a fantastic stay at Challenger Quay. The apartment is large, bright and extremely comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. The open-plan living area worked brilliantly for socialising, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms were all generous in size with excellent storage, and having both an en-suite and family bathroom made mornings easy. A great base for exploring Falmouth.

Paul and Louise

The location of this apartment is hard to beat. Right in the heart of Falmouth, yet tucked away within a secure, gated marina development, it felt calm and private despite being so close to everything. We loved being able to walk to beaches, shops, restaurants and the Maritime Museum. The allocated parking space was extremely convenient and meant we barely used the car all week.

The Robertson’s

Challenger Quay was perfect for our family holiday. The three bedrooms gave everyone their own space, and the large dining table made shared meals really enjoyable. The enclosed patio area was great for breakfast in the morning sunshine. The apartment felt safe, quiet and very well maintained — ideal for travelling with children while still being close to all the attractions Falmouth has to offer.

Derek and Tush

This is the kind of place you’d happily come back to. Comfortable sofas, a great TV setup for evenings in, and those harbour views make it easy to relax after busy days out. Everything felt thoughtfully set up for guests, from the kitchen to the outdoor seating. Being able to watch the harbour activity from the window with a cup of coffee was one of our favourite parts of the stay.

The Mackie family

Challenger Quay ticked every box for us. Spacious, clean, well-equipped and in an unbeatable waterside location. Whether you want to explore Cornwall, enjoy boat trips and coastal walks, or simply relax and watch the world go by, this apartment is ideal. The secure development and quiet atmosphere made it feel like a real retreat in the middle of town. Highly recommended.
