Driftwood is a modern, two bedroom first floor apartment with two bathrooms and off-road parking set amongst a charming neighbourhood in an enviable quayside location. Located within a character – filled complex with views overlooking the wharf, it is just a stone’s throw from Penryn town centre and a short drive from Falmouth – this first-floor apartment boasts a superb location and bags of charm! Stepping into the apartment, guests are instantly greeted by the bright and modern feel of the property. With neutral walls and warm wooden flooring, this space is inviting and relaxing. Leading off a large entrance hall and through double doors to the left of the property, guests will find themselves within the main living area.

An open plan, kitchen, dining and lounge space, with wonderful views of the wharf and a gorgeous balcony. The living space is relaxing and cosy with two comfortable sofas providing an ideal spot for guests to sit back and put their feet up after a long day of exploring. There is a subtle nautical theme within this space, with modern Cornish prints of local towns and landmarks. A TV provides guests with a perfect spot to gather together on a quiet night in and catch up on their favourite shows or a movie and free standing lamps enable this space to remain cosy and relaxing once the sun goes down. This main living space is bright and warm, with large windows offering those gorgeous water views and allowing natural light to flood this space. The dining area is a great size, with a large wooden table and four chairs. Guests could really enjoy sharing breakfast together and watching the sunrise through the windows.

The kitchen is an excellent size and renovated with modern units and appliances. The neutral colour palette is in keeping with the rest of the space and spending quality time together cooking a delicious meal is a must. There is a double oven with a gas hob, a large fridge and freezer, a washing machine and tumble dryer, a dishwasher, microwave, and a Nespresso coffeemaker for all the home comforts.

On a warm summer evening, the balcony is a beautiful spot to take a moment to relax and unwind. Equipped with a table and chairs and those stunning views, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy a drink at the end of an exciting day.

The master bedroom comes complete with a king size bed and the subtle textures and tones of the room have created a tranquil and peaceful space. The feature wall is in keeping with the nautical theme of the property and the modern artwork is a continuation throughout this property, making the space flow. There is a large inbuilt closet and chest of drawers providing ample storage space for luggage.

A soft, neutral carpet is a welcoming addition for feet first thing in the morning as guests make their way over to the ensuite shower room.  With floor to ceiling tiles and a modern suite, this shower room is an inviting space for guests to enjoy some time alone and get ready for the day ahead. There is a WC and heated towel rail.

The second bedroom is an excellent size and also features a comfortable king size bed, that can be separated into two singles if guests require. With a pretty nautical themed feature wall and bed linen, this second bedroom is packed with character and charm and there are twin wardrobes and a chest of drawers for storage.

Across the large hallway is the family bathroom. Finished to the same high standard as the ensuite, it is a warm and tranquil room. Guests can enjoy taking a long soak in the bath before getting ready for an evening out. This room also features a WC and heated towel rail.

Driftwood is just a short walk from the centre of Penryn, with a selection of local shops and pubs and guests need to just a short drive over to Falmouth where there is an array of wonderful restaurants, galleries and shops. With one of the deepest natural harbours, Falmouth Harbour, guests can easily take to the water, with a fantastic range of ways to explore the beautiful surroundings; with private boat hire, canoe rental and sailing lessons and trips. Stand-up paddle boards also provide a fun way to enjoy this area of outstanding natural beauty.

There are excellent transport links to Truro and ferries over to the quaint harbour towns of St Mawes and Flushing. If guests wish to stay a little closer to home there is a selection of local pubs and restaurants just a few steps away. Muddy Beach Cafe, located on Jubilee Wharf is a fantastic tapas restaurant offering dinner with stunning views overlooking the wharf and just a two minute walk from the property, guests need not worry about eating too much!
