Meridian5 is a fabulously contemporary apartment perfect for guests to escape the busy day to day life and kick back and relax in one of Cornwall’s most exciting harbour towns. Designed by Peter de Savary and modelled on the picture-perfect beauty spot of Port Grimaud near St Tropez, Port Pendennis offers a timeless scene. Pastel painted townhouses huddled around the bobbing boats of the inner yacht basin, create an idyllic backdrop.

As guests enter Meridian5, a wonderfully light and bright hallway is the entrance space within this apartment. The surrounding white walls and white tiled floor create an extremely contemporary and clean space and already set the scene for a tranquil escape by the coast. To the left of the hallway is the main seating area, complete with a large L-shaped sofa providing plenty of room for everyone to curl up and relax at the end of the day. The wooden flooring throughout this room adds warmth and texture while the wonderful, nautical artwork is a subtle reminder of the stunning location of this apartment. There is a wall mounted electric fire and TV so guests could gather together in the cosy space and watch a movie on the smart 4k TV.

If the evening sun is still proving too tempting, then guests could throw open the balcony doors and soak in the stunning views overlooking Port Pendennis, enjoying a glass of wine and listening to the boats gently bobbing on the water. This room is a really welcoming, bright space, with loads of light beaming through the balcony windows and the deep blue tones of the soft furnishings make the space feel cosy and inviting.

The kitchen can be accessed by both the hallway and through double doors leading from the lounge. Complete with a beautiful glass dining table and modern blue chairs, the two spaces instantly become one while the double doors are open. Set behind the dining table is another stunning view overlooking the Port, a beautiful backdrop for a meal shared with friends or loved ones. The kitchen area is a bright and modern space, with pale cupboard doors and light grey granite worktops. There is a double oven an induction hob so guests could cook up a delicious meal, and the dividing breakfast bar cleverly separate the two spaces but maintains all the social elements needed for a memorable get-together. There is also a microwave and a dishwasher to ensure guests an easy, hassle-free stay.

The main bedroom is at the front of the apartment and has a beautiful king size bed. Crisp white bed linen is paired with beautiful grey, velvet cushions and throws adding a subtle element of luxury to the room. There is ample storage with a large built-in wardrobe, complete with a dressing table and full-length mirror. This bedroom has a wonderful, large window and window seat offering a quiet place to sit back and overlook the views of Falmouth Docks or read a book. The room is a fantastic size and the contemporary decor continues into this space. The white walls and white tiled flooring provide a tranquil and restful feel. There is also a TV in the bedroom, so guests could escape and relax in front of a good show before settling down for the night.

The second bedroom features a superking bed, which alternatively may be divided into two full size single beds and mirrors the contemporary and luxury style of the master bedroom. This room has a large window and a balcony providing must-see views overlooking Falmouth Harbour towards Flushing. This is a wonderful space for guests to escape to and watch the cruise ships arrive and depart from the harbour. Or sit back and relax with a morning coffee, soaking in the sea views from bed and watching as the sunlight creeps in through the windows. There is a smart TV with integral DVD player and a large built-in wardrobe in this room, providing guests with ample space to hide away their luggage.  The mirror-fronted doors not only reflect the sea views but bounce the light around the room creating a bright and refreshing space.

The family bathroom is another crisp, modern space with large white wall tiles and flooring and a large mirror. There is a large shower perfect for freshening up after a day at the beach or waking up in to start a day of exploring. There is also a WC and basin.

Positioned centrally within Falmouth, Port Pendennis is in a prime location for getting the most out of a Cornish holiday. With the local beaches just a ten minute walk away where there are loads of water sports available for adventurous guests. Just take a short stroll to Events Square where the famous oyster festival takes place in October each year. Or head to Rick Stein’s for champagne and oyster’s or possibly a warming fish and chips to take back to the balcony.

Falmouth also has excellent transport links to neighbouring fishing villages such as Flushing and St Mawes via passenger ferry. Here guests can escape the hustle and bustle of the town centre and enjoy a relaxing coastal walk. There are also train, bus and ferry connections to Cornwall’s capital city of Truro.

Port Pendennis has two 7kW Type 2 PodPoint EV chargers available in the visitor carpark at the end of St. Smithwick Way, available on a first-come, first serve basis.  These are operated by PodPoint and appear in their smartphone app.  You will need to bring your own charging lead as none are provided.
