Nightingale House is a fabulous property that boasts character and charm. With high luxury interiors and fixtures this house is definitely a location for a large gathering of guests to enjoy a well-deserved break away.

Split over three floors, Nightingale House is a spacious property offering guests both privacy and large social spaces. The main living area is located on the first floor and is home to four extremely good sized rooms. The main living room is a large, open space boasting a high vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. The neutral walls and warm wood floor create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere, an ideal setting for guests to cosy up around the fire. There is plenty of seating for everyone to gather together with three large sofas and an arm chair. The deep blue fabrics of the soft furnishings complete with their white stripes add a subtle hint to the nautical setting of this fabulous property. The sofas are an ideal spot to get comfortable and relax infant of a favourite movie or TV show, and the Freeview TV definitely has lots of choice for guests. Twin French doors frame the stunning view of Falmouth harbour and provide an exquisite, uninterrupted, backdrop for a cosy evening in. Two the rear of the main living room is a cosy snug room complete with further seating and a desk. Guests could easily get comfortable here, and find a quiet spot to enjoy a good book whilst everyone else gets ready. Here, the large vaulted ceiling is fitted with twin skylights so natural light floods this space.

The stunning kitchen is finished to an equally high standard, with a contemporary white tiled floor and white gloss units. This space is inviting and guests will enjoy spending time in here cooking delicious meals for their loved ones. The large twin doors that lead onto the balcony, enable this room to be bright and open and there is a table and stools should guests wish to share a quiet breakfast together. The kitchen also comes complete with a TV so guests could catch up on the morning news whilst enjoying a hot coffee. There is also a washer and drier located in separate utility room adjacent to the kitchen.

Guests can enjoy sharing a delicious meal all together in the formal dining room. Here, a large table complete with ten chairs is the main feature amongst the exquisite decor. Parquet flooring and exposed beams create an atmospheric setting for cosy evening meals, sampling and sharing some of the delicious produce found on the doorstep. This room also features double doors that lead out to the large balcony area. Guests can always decide to spend the rest of the evening out here, where a table and comfortable seating provide a stunning setting for evening drinks. The glass balcony means the unforgettable water views are uninterrupted and the evening sunset can be enjoyed by all.

The master bedroom and second bedroom are located on the second floor of the house and each feature an en-suite bathroom and king size beds.  Both are light and bright with large, square framed windows providing more views of the water. The bedrooms are tranquil and restful with crisp white bed linen and soft cosy carpets. There is ample storage space for guests to hide their belongings and the master bedroom features an impressive elevating TV should guests wish to escape to some privacy to watch a good movie. Both en-suites are an excellent size and the master suite comes complete with a large walk in shower.

On the ground floor guests will find a further two double bedrooms and the family bathroom. The larger room has a Super King.  The second room has a double bed. All bedrooms have a TV to catch up on the morning news whilst getting ready for the day ahead. Large windows in both of these rooms means they are light and airy and the neutral decor is tranquil and calming.

The family bathroom is an excellent size and features a bath with overhead shower, WC and hand basin.

Nightingale House also enjoys the use of a spacious rear garden (shared with Nightingale Mews) which has a large area of lawn and additional outside seating.  One small well behaved dog is welcome.

Parking for one car is available in the large garage suitable for most vehicles. Guests are advised that the garage at the house is accessed via an archway onto the quayside that is 2.2 metres (7 ft 3 ins) wide at mirror height and 2.05 metres (6 ft 9 ins) wide at tyre height.

Any additional cars can be parked at the Dell Car Park which is a 7 minute walk from the house.

There is also the option of combining the rental of Nightingale House with Nightingale Mews, should a larger group of guests wish to experience a Cornish holiday together. This would provide space for up to twelve guests.

With Falmouth town centre right on the doorstep, there’s plenty to see and do. Just take a short stroll to Events Square where the famous oyster festival takes place in October each year. Or head to Rick Stein’s for champagne and oysters. Falmouth has an abundance of boutique shops, art galleries and restaurants and the famous Maritime Museum. With one of the deepest natural harbours on the doorstep, Falmouth Harbour, guests can easily take to the water, with a fantastic range of ways to explore the beautiful surroundings; with private boat hire, canoe rental and sailing lessons and trips. Stand-up paddle boards also provide a fun way to enjoy this area of outstanding natural beauty. Falmouth has amazing links to the surrounding fishing villages via water ferry. Guests can take a day trip to St Mawes or Flushing, two quintessential Cornish villages with stunning views over the water. Alternatively, hop on the train from the town centre station and explore Truro, Cornwall’s capital city, where a further array of shops awaits.

Nightingale House definitely provides guests with the chance to holiday in an idyllic Cornish harbour town, with space, elegance and luxury.

This is a very attractive and comfortable place, and a wonderful view. The kitchen and bathrooms are very modern, while the other rooms are more traditional and cosy: a nice combination.The whole place was very clean.  We stayed in December and the place was warm and cosy when it stormed outside. It is very close to good restaurants, coffee and bakeries.

This is a stunning location -nearly every room has a view of that fabulous harbour – and you’re right near the shops yet it’s tranquil. The archway is tight for parking, as the owner said, but we negotiated it fine every time in our fat Lexus with 3 bikes on top. It was great to have a big garage for everything.  This is a really special, elegant yet practical, beautiful home.
