Railway Cottage

Steeped in history Railway Cottage is a wonderful property that’s perfect for small families or couples to escape to and experience Cornwall.

Traditionally layed out the ground floor has a cosy living room with comfortable seating and SMART TV. This room is a great size and the wood floor and crisp white walls enable this space to be refreshing and welcoming.

The kitchen overlooks the courtyard garden and is perfect for cooking up a delicious meal for loved ones. The dining table makes this a sociable space, enabling guests to enjoy a morning coffee and plan the day ahead as breakfast is made. There is also an oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher.

The courtyard area is just ideal to soak in the Cornish summer sun and enjoy a cream tea in the peace and quiet. Or guests could easily dine alfresco on a warm summer’s evening.

Outside guests will find a useful utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.  Also on the ground floor is a downstair shower room with WC – ideal for washing off that sand after a day at the beach.

The master bedroom boasts a king size bed with crisp white bed linen ensuring guests have a truly restful night sleep. The colour scheme within this room mimics that of the rest of the property, with neutral wall colours and subtle hints of pale blue. This room is restful and calming. There is a wardrobe in this room so guests have plenty of storage space to pack away their luggage and a dressing table.

The second bedroom features a king size bed which can be split into 2 singles if required and is another tranquil and inviting room. There is another wardrobe and dressing table in this peaceful space.

The family bathroom contains a shower and a WC and hand basin – fluffy towels are included.

Guests are able to park right outside the house – a real bonus for such a central location! A well-behaved dog is also welcome at Railway Cottage.

Just a fifteen-minute stroll from Railway Cottage, guests will find themselves in Falmouth town centre, complete with an array of boutique shops and restaurants. Guests can enjoy a romantic meal at a number of restaurants and then enjoy a short stroll back. Falmouth has excellent travel connections to Truro via train, with stations at the docks and the town centre. Or you could jump aboard the sea ferry and spend a day exploring the nearby fishing villages of Flushing and St Mawes. If a more action-packed holiday is on the cards, then the nearby Gylly beach, or Gyllyngvase Beach as its formally known, has a wide selection of water sports activities to keep guests entertained, and Queen Mary Gardens is a wonderful sub-tropical haven.

With so much to offer and with it all right on the doorstep, Railway Cottage is a perfect home from home for guests to take time and enjoy a fantastic Cornish holiday in a quintessential harbour town.
