Tredower

Tredower is a quaint, first floor apartment set amongst a pretty development of cottages and apartments in the extensive grounds of The Falmouth Hotel – just a few short steps from the town centre and the beach, and with the added benefit of reserved parking.

With Castle Beach across the road and Gyllyngvase Beach a short stroll along the promenade, this apartment is ideal for both young and old seeking beachside activities or a peaceful coastal walk.

Stepping into the apartment, the whole space is light and airy. An entrance hallway provides access to all the rooms, with the main living space to the right of the property. This large room is home to the combined kitchen, dining and living area, with white walls and neutral wood floors. Large windows allow plenty of natural light to flood the space, making it a refreshing and welcoming atmosphere.

The living space is home to two comfortable sofas and a TV – guests wishing to wind down and relax in front of a good movie have easy access to Freeview channels and Wi-Fi.

This room is a wonderfully social space, with the kitchen area located behind the sofas. The exquisitely modern and delightful kitchen has everything guests need to cook up something delicious for their loved one. With an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, there’s no excuse for guests to not get their hands on some of the delicious local produce and experiment with fabulous ingredients. Conveniently, there is also a dishwasher and washing machine for all the home comforts. The soft, neutral cabinets are a compliment to the decor of the space, and the large window over the sink provides an abundance of natural light.

The dining area is a lovely space to spend some quality time together. It’s ideal for sharing a delicious meal, or simply planning the holiday ahead. With so much on offer, and with it all on the doorstep, having an agenda might prove useful! Throughout this space there are several floor lamps and spotlighting enables guests to switch up the mood, creating a cosy atmosphere on cooler nights in together.

The master bedroom is an excellent size and offers plenty of storage space. The king sized bed means guests will get a wonderfully relaxing night sleep ahead of a busy day, and the neutral decor creates a calming and restful atmosphere. There is a built in wardrobe and a large chest of drawers so guests can hide away their luggage and truly escape.

The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and is fresh, modern and inviting.  Complete with a walk in shower, guests will enjoy starting their day with a refreshing soak. There is a WC, hand basin and heated towel rail.

Tredower is just a ten-minute stroll from Falmouth town centre, where there is an array of boutique shops and restaurants and then enjoy a stroll back along the coastal path, or simply head across to Gylly Cafe and enjoy a meal alfresco, making the most of the sea views. From here there is plenty to keep guests occupied, should they prefer a more action packed get away.

Paddle boarding, surfing and kayaking are to name but a few of the water sports available to hire from Gylly beach, and the stunning coastal view will not fail to impress. Falmouth has excellent travel connections to Truro via train, with stations at the docks and the town centre. Or guests could jump aboard the sea ferry and spend a day exploring the nearby fishing villages of Flushing and St Mawes.

If a more action-packed holiday is on the cards, then the nearby Gylly beach, or Gyllyngvase Beach as its formally known, has a wide selection of water sports activities to keep guests entertained, and Queen Mary Gardens is a wonderful sub-tropical haven.

Guests can chose to dine at the hotel and also use the pool and gym for a small daily charge.
