Description

Situated in the heart of Flushing and surrounded by the beautiful pastel-painted cottages, Morvergh nestles itself perfectly into the quiet street of this traditional fishing village. With a large driveway and double gates, the approach to the cottage is certainly easy on the eye.

On the first floor are two of the bedrooms and the large open plan living and dining room. As guests enter the property, a bright and modern hallway accessing all the rooms awaits them, leading through the open living space. Here, three large windows frame the wonderful harbour views and flood the room with natural light providing guests with a wonderful space to relax as the sun sets over the horizon. There’s plenty of seating for everyone to get together in the form of two large, comfortable sofas, an armchair and a large floor cushion. On cooler evenings, this is an ideal place to get together and spend some quality time, watching a favourite show or movie.

A stunning feature of this modern, nautical space is the large wood burning stove. Surrounded by exposed fireplace brickwork, this area adds texture and character to the room and is undoubtedly a cosy spot to settle down on cooler evenings. Freestanding floor lamps enable guests to change the mood in the evenings and spotlights allow different areas of the space to be brighter than others.

The dining area is located to the left of the sitting area and has the stunning views through the large windows as an ever-changing backdrop. The large glass dining table has eight chairs, so guests could easily sit together and share a delicious meal on a quiet night in. Alternatively, should guests wish to enjoy more of the Cornish sun, dining alfresco is an enticing option. With views of the water and framed by the delicate pastel pink of the neighbouring cottage, this balcony area is a tranquil space for guests to indulge in a cold evening drink and listen to the gentle sound of the water lapping against the harbour walls. On the lower level of the garden is a quaint paved area, an ideal spot to slowly sip a hot morning coffee and watch as the fisherman return with their catch.

With plenty of fresh, local produce right on the doorstep, guests would be silly not to sample some from the comfort of the cottage and the stunning kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy taking some time away to cook. With modern wood units, granite worktop and neutral flooring the kitchen is a light and bright space and in keeping with the style of the rest of the property. There is an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washer dryer so guests need not spend too much time cleaning up!

The master bedroom can be found upstairs and features a wonderful super king-size bed so guests can be sure to get plenty of sleep. This room is a peaceful space to rest and unwind and the warm neutral tones means the space is cosy and inviting. A pair of large skylights, fitted into the slanted ceiling allow undisturbed natural light to flood the room and its the ideal spot to spend a minute or two fixing hair or make-up in the sweet dressing area underneath. There is a large inbuilt wardrobe providing plenty of storage for belongings. This bedroom also comes with a large en-suite bathroom. where guests can run themselves a hot bath and enjoy a moment of quiet. The ensuite is a great size, with crisp white walls and a window creating a bright space. There is also a WC, hand basin and bidet.

Twin single beds can be located in the second bedroom of this floor in a room that ideal for any guests travelling with younger kids. Another excellent size bedroom, with large skylights, ensures guests will enjoy settling down at the end of a fun day! This room also features a built in cupboard space for luggage.

Bedroom three is positioned on the ground floor at the front of the property and benefits from the large windows filling the space with light. This room has an element of luxury, with crisp white bed sheets and carefully selected ornamental features. Floor to ceiling, decorative tiles continue to add the element of hotel luxury and provide a subtle hint of colour and quirkiness. There is also a WC and hand basin.

The fourth bedroom is accessed under the stairs, and here guests will easily be able to enjoy a good nights sleep. With twin singles that connect to form a super king-size bed, any party of guests will easily find a room for everyone.
