Quayside is a truly unique ultra-modern apartment located in a renovated Grade II listed building that has been transformed into a luxurious loft style retreat with every conceivable luxury.

Located on the wharf at the head of the Penryn River, this stunning property is perfectly positioned to enjoy the local facilities in Penryn, the beautiful beaches of Falmouth and, of course, the exceptional sailing waters of the Fal Estuary. It is the ideal destination for style-conscious guests who want something more than the standard traditional Cornish holiday home.

Quayside sleeps six  in three luxurious bedrooms with two bathrooms and the added benefit of two reserved parking spaces. The exterior of this harbor side property retains the original charm of the old warehouse fused with a high-quality contemporary interior. A former Bone Mill built in 1843, the warehouse had been derelict for years. The recent renovation has brought this historic building back to life in spectacular fashion, and has resulted in one of the highest quality holiday lets that we have ever seen.

The private entrance with video security leads into a large hallway. The high ceilings and exposed stonework mix perfectly with the retained original features of this unique property.

Programmable LED mood lighting, a fresh-air exchange system, computer-controlled central heating with contemporary wall-mounted radiators and engineered Oak floors ensure maximum comfort at all times, and really set the scene for a truly luxurious holiday experience.

A bright hallway opens into the vast open plan living area,. This room really is the heart of the building. The lounge area has a huge comfy sofa, a 50” flat-screen TV with DVD player, and a SONOS music system wired to play your iPod all around the apartment. WiFi allows you to update your envious friends back home with details of your Cornish adventure. The exposed stone walls include a full-height fireplace.

Prominently displayed throughout Quayside are many striking original artworks from local artists, each helping to create the ambiance of your very own private gallery.

The high-gloss Seimatic kitchen has Corian worktops, plenty of storage, a tall fridge / freezer, Siemens double oven and dishwasher  – everything and more that you could possibly need in a self-catering apartment. Add in a dining table and chairs for 6 and a breakfast bar, and you begin to understand the uniqueness of Quayside.

The master bedroom has a super-king sized bed with electric adjustment for maximum comfort and a wall-mounted flat screen TV.  The spacious fully tiled en-suite spa bathroom has high-quality contemporary fittings, while the large walk in shower is perfect for washing away the sand from the nearby beaches. Luxurious bedding and towels are provided for guests.

The second bedroom has a super-king sized bed, a wall-mounted flat screen TV and a large walk-in wardrobe, while the third bedroom has a standard double bed. These two bedrooms share a comfortable family bathroom, again fully tiled, with over-sized walk-in shower and ambient lighting.

A separate utility room houses washing machine and tumble dryer.

In the past we have booked properties advertised as wheelchair friendly only to arrive to discover that a hand-rail has been installed in the bathroom.  Quayside was quite simply a breath of fresh air.  Everything was thoughtfully designed from the low level appliances, sliding doors and pull down wardrobes.  The bathrooms are, again, well thought out and ideal for the less able.  This combined with the stylish decor and modern touches meant we were actually very sad to leave.  I want to live here!
