Located on the second floor of the redeveloped building of the Old King’s Hotel, and accessed via stairs, No.1 The Pier is a wonderfully styled, spacious apartment offering up to four guests the chance to experience a break in the Cornish sun. Positioned in the heart of Falmouth town, the hustle and bustle of this quintessential location are just on the doorstep, so there’s something to please everyone.

Stepping inside this spacious apartment, guests are instantly welcomed into the large bright open plan living area. With a vaulted ceiling and an exquisite tone of blue walls, this room is undeniably unforgettable! Complimented by stylish furniture and warm wood floors, this room is bright and inviting. Large windows frame the sea views outside and provide an excellent backdrop for cosy nights in. Two large sofas and a large armchair face a modern flat-screen TV, creating a wonderful area to relax and unwind. There is a subtle nautical element to this space, cleverly incorporated by the artwork of local fishing villages.

Toward the rear of this large space is the kitchen, dining area. A well-equipped, modern kitchen encases a large glass dining table and six chairs. This dynamic space is wonderfully social as guests can gather at the table and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by loved ones. The gloss white units and black granite worktop complement the style of the room, in keeping with its contemporary design. With plenty of local produce on the doorstep, guests should enjoy experimenting with ingredients in the kitchen and fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge and dishwasher, there’s everything needed to do just that!

Should guests wish to enjoy a bit of the Cornish sunshine, there’s plenty of space to gather on the wonderful balcony. With surrounding glass railings, the views of the harbour and its surrounding buildings are completely undisturbed. It’s a tranquil place for guests to enjoy watching the boats pass by and comfortable seating makes it is easy for guests to put their feet up and savour the moment. There is also a large outdoor table and chairs so dining alfresco is always an option or simply just gathering together for a drink before heading into town for dinner would be a fantastic way to start the night.

Also on the ground floor is the large family bathroom. With a bath and shower available, guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to taking some time out and relaxing. This room is elegant and modern, with floor to ceiling tiles in a soft stone colour adding warmth and texture. There is also a WC hand basin and heated towel rail, making getting out of the bath or shower a little more inviting.

Both bedrooms are located on the upper floor of this apartment. The master bedroom is decorated in a luxurious style with a subtle element of French design. The king size bed, dressed with soft white bed sheets means guests are guaranteed a restful night sleep, waking up slowly to the peace and quiet. The soft neutral tones are paired with deep purples and create a calming and tranquil feel to the room. Twin bedside tables with lamps enable guests to dim the lights and cosy up with a good book at the end of a long day, or the flat screen means guests can watch a favourite show or movie. This room also comes complete with an ensuite shower room, should guests wish to freshen up at the start of the day. Finished to an equally high standard as the family bathroom, this room is an inviting space to spend time in. There is also a WC and hand basin.

Bedroom two features twin single beds and mirrors the tones and colours of the master bedroom. Here, guests can store their belongings in a large free-standing wardrobe. This room also features a flat-screen TV should guests wish to wind down in front of a movie at the end of the day.

There is so much to see and do in Falmouth and all within a short wander from the apartment doorstep. Explore the harbour town and its many boutique shops and galleries, stopping to sample a wonderful, traditional Cornish Pasty. Or take the kids to the Maritime Museum and brush up knowledge of the history of the harbour and trade. Falmouth has an amazing selection of restaurants where guests can be spoiled for choice on where to eat.

Falmouth has amazing links to the surrounding fishing villages via water ferry. Guests can take a day trip to St Mawes or Flushing, two beautifully quintessential Cornish villages with stunning views over the water. Guests could alternatively, hop on the train from the town centre station and explore Truro, Cornwall’s capital city, where a further array of shops awaits. Falmouth also has an excellent selection of beaches all offering water sport rentals. From surfboards to paddle boards, there are plenty of ways to experience this stunning coastline from the water.

With plenty of things to occupy everyone, No.1 The Pier is the ideal location to take some time away with loved ones and a sample a taste of the Cornish Life.

Guests are advised that the convenient town centre location does mean that on occasion some background noise may be audible.
